Terms of Service

[PLACEHOLDER] By accessing or using the Equip My Team platform ("Platform", "Service", or "we"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

After applicable platform fees are deducted (see Section 4), the remaining funds are held and disbursed to the Team in accordance with these Terms and any disbursement schedule communicated at the time of donation.

[PLACEHOLDER] Donations are made to specific wishlist items designated by the Team. The Platform does not guarantee that a Team will reach any fundraising goal, purchase any particular item, or use funds in any specific timeframe. The Platform acts solely as a technology intermediary and does not take custody of, manage, or guarantee the application of donated funds.

[PLACEHOLDER] By making a Donation, you acknowledge that you are making a voluntary contribution and that the Platform makes no warranties as to how or when those funds will be used by the receiving Team.

[PLACEHOLDER] Donations made through Equip My Team are NOT tax-deductible. Equip My Team is not a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization under the Internal Revenue Code, and funds collected through the Platform are not processed by or held in the name of a tax-exempt entity.

[PLACEHOLDER] Neither the Platform nor the Teams listed on the Platform represent that contributions qualify as charitable deductions for U.S. federal or state income tax purposes. Donors should not claim contributions made through this Platform as charitable deductions without first consulting a qualified tax professional.

[PLACEHOLDER] The Platform does not issue tax receipts or acknowledgment letters for donations. It is the sole responsibility of the Donor to determine the tax treatment of any contribution.

[PLACEHOLDER] Nothing in these Terms constitutes tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors are encouraged to consult a licensed tax professional regarding the deductibility of any contribution.

[PLACEHOLDER] Equip My Team charges a platform fee on each successful Donation processed through the Service. The current platform fee is [X]% of each donation, in addition to any payment processing fees charged by our third-party payment processor (currently [PROCESSOR NAME], which charges approximately [X]% + $[X.XX] per transaction).

Any changes to the fee structure will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where required by law, communicated directly to registered users. Continued use of the Platform after a fee change constitutes acceptance of the new fee structure.

[PLACEHOLDER] All Donations are generally final and non-refundable. Once a Donation is processed, Equip My Team does not guarantee a refund under ordinary circumstances.

[PLACEHOLDER] Exceptions. A refund may be considered at the sole discretion of Equip My Team in the following limited circumstances:

• [PLACEHOLDER] A Donation was made in error (e.g., duplicate charge, incorrect amount) and the Donor contacts support within [X] business days of the transaction.
• [PLACEHOLDER] A Team account is found to have violated these Terms in a manner that materially misled Donors.
• [PLACEHOLDER] A Donation was processed fraudulently or without the Donor's authorization, as determined by the payment processor's dispute resolution process.

[PLACEHOLDER] To request a refund, Donors must contact Equip My Team at [SUPPORT EMAIL] within [X] days of the transaction date and provide the transaction ID, the amount, the date, and the reason for the request. Refund requests submitted after this window will not be considered.

[PLACEHOLDER] Chargebacks initiated directly with a card issuer without first contacting Equip My Team may result in suspension of the associated account.

[PLACEHOLDER] Coaches, team administrators, and any other individuals who register a Team on the Platform ("Team Administrators") assume full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of their Team's account, wishlist, and any representations made to Donors.

[PLACEHOLDER] Team Administrators represent and warrant that:

• [PLACEHOLDER] All information provided during registration and on the Team's public page is accurate, truthful, and not misleading.
• [PLACEHOLDER] The Team exists as described and that the Administrator has authority to create the account and receive funds on the Team's behalf.
• [PLACEHOLDER] Funds received through the Platform will be used exclusively for the purchase of the equipment items listed on the Team's wishlist and for no other purpose.
• [PLACEHOLDER] The Team Administrator will provide accurate shipping or delivery information and update the Platform promptly if that information changes.
• [PLACEHOLDER] The Team Administrator will promptly notify Equip My Team if the Team disbands, a fundraising campaign is no longer active, or funds cannot be used as intended, so that appropriate action (including potential donor notification or refund) can be taken.
• [PLACEHOLDER] The Team Administrator will comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws governing charitable solicitation, fundraising, and the handling of third-party funds, and will obtain any required permits or registrations independently.

[PLACEHOLDER] Equip My Team reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any Team account found to have misused donated funds, provided false information, or otherwise violated these Terms. In such cases, the Platform may, at its discretion, pursue recovery of disbursed funds and cooperate with law enforcement.

[PLACEHOLDER] Team Administrators agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Equip My Team, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages arising from their use of the Platform or any breach of this Section.

[PLACEHOLDER] Governing Law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
